Naomi Campbell Arrested…Again

I just do not understand what is up with modeling beauty Naomi Campbell. She is gorgeous, rich, and famous, yet something must be setting off these anger outbursts. Her rap sheet is longer than even the most diehard gansta rapper:

In 2000, she pleaded guilty to a 1998 assault on Georgina Galanis, her own assistant. This assault included throwing Galanis from a moving car! The whole thing was dropped when Campbell expressed remorse, paid Galanis an unknown amount of money, and agreed to go to anger management classes.

Not having learned much from the classes, Naomi was slapped (oops) in 2005 once more with assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress for having slapped her assistant Amanda Brack and hit her with a Blackberry.

Also in 2005, Naomi was accused of having punched Italian actress Yvonne Scio in the face, leaving her “covered in blood.”

In March 2006, Naomi was arrested for having allegedly assaulted her housekeeper with a jewel-encrusted mobile phone. Ouch, that had to hurt! Naomi was charged with second-degree assault. Six months later, she didn’t attend the hearing for that charge and the judge threatened to arrest her, which he did in London on October 25, 2006.

In November 2006, another former housekeeper, Gaby Gibson, decided to join in the festivities and charged Campbell, accusing her of being a “violent super-bigot.”

Also in November 2006, Naomi appeared in criminal court for the March 2006 assault charges. Her lawyers stated they were still trying to work out a plea deal. However, later that year, her defense team of Sullivan & Worcester dropped Campbell as a client.

This January, Campbell pleaded guilty of reckless assault in a charge brought forth by her maid Ana Scolavino. She had to do five days community service (mopping floors) and had to once again, she was ordered to attend anger management. She also had to pay Scolavino’s medical bills ($363).

And now, she has been arrested again. This time, it was at London’s Heathrow Airport for allegedly assaulting a police officer. “Allegedly” must be a word Naomi is more than familiar with! People magazine is reporting the assault was due to frustration over baggage delays.

Now, I’ve had delays at the airport, so I can understand the frustration, but I’ve never assaulted anyone. And why is Naomi Campbell waiting on her own luggage anyhow? And if she loses her clothes, can’t she just buy new ones?

It seems that Naomi has blamed her temper on a “lingering resentment toward her father for abandoning her as a child.” Her father left Naomi and her mother two months after her birth. I can understand abandonment issues, but Naomi really needs to get her act together or one day, a judge might not be so forgiving and she may actually find her pretty self sitting in a jail cell!
