National Scrapbooking Day – Celebrate at home

With National Scrapbooking Day just a few days away on May 6, 2006, I thought that I would share a few events that you might be interested in knowing about. These are activities I have found that you can do from the comfort of your own home if you are not interested or able to make it out to an event in your area.

Creating Keepsakes is going to be doing an online celebration all day. They are going to have a huge giveaway (I’m interested to see what it is!), free downloads, layout tips and more.

QVC is going to be doing 6 hours of scrapbook programming with Lisa Bearnson and other presenters. They usually have some great deals that can be hard to pass up. Check out their program guide to find out what time the “Preseving the Past” shows will be aired in your area. If you miss the shows, you can always check out their website to see what was presented in the show.

Scraplovers.com will be having challenges, games and giving away over $2000 in prizes.

Love is in the Details is hosting an online crop with games, challenges and contests.

If you are feeling ambitious, you could invite friends over for a crop at your house. Nicole has listed some fun ideas of things you could do at a crop celebrating the day.

If you do feel like participating in an event to celebrate the day, check out NationalScrapbookingDay.com and do a search by zip code to find out what events will be going on in your area.

You can also check with your favorite local scrapbook store to find out what kinds of activities or sales they are offering in honor of National Scrapbooking Day. It looks like many stores are hosting crops and sales throughout this week leading up to National Scrapbooking Day.

Whatever you do, I wish you a happy National Scrapbooking Day!
