Are you trying to figure out how to get your home business off the ground, or how to set your business apart from the pack? Exemplary service is one way to create some notoriety, but if your business has gotten into a rut, you may be able to energize things by offering something new or different. This can be a product, a perk, or a service—but doing something that no one else is doing can be a great way to give your home business a big boost!
Now, as much as I would like to be able to list off all sorts of new and different things to use in your home business—it really does depend on your field and your own strengths. The important thing is to free your mind and problem-solving and try to think up a product or service that would be valuable and fresh to your clients or customers. To get your creative juices flowing, try to thing of things that would be useful or save time or money—almost everyone is likely to be responsive to products and services that save them time and money and make their lives more efficient. If you live in a smaller town, you might consider researching larger cities to see if there is something going on “there” that you can adapt for your own smaller community and be the first to offer a particular product or service to your clientele.
This doesn’t mean that you have to become an inventor, it just means getting to know your competition and looking for ways you can set your business apart. The more valuable you are able to make your business and yourself to your clients and customers, the more they will come to you again and again and become loyal, supportive customers.
