One Life to Live: Making the Most of Your Life

I feel like the title of my blog sums up my point. How do you make the most of every day? Forget your past for now. I want you to think about where you are currently with God. Sometimes it’s easy to let our past dictate where we are going. God is capable of meeting you right where you are at and transforming you into who He wants you to be if you’ll allow Him.

If you’ve felt your life has lacked purpose or it feels like you’re lacking direction, please don’t fret. Make the decision that your life is going to mean more than it has before. In Ecclesiastes chapter 7 it talks of the day of death being better than the day of birth because the end is something we’ll all experience and take to heart. If you’ve ever gone to a Christian loved one’s funeral; someone who’s spent their life serving the Lord especially, you might have felt an impact on your life even long after they’ve gone. The time of mourning the loss of someone seems also to be a time of reflection on the servitude, and faithfulness of a believer’s life. It is my hope that one day, when I’m gone; my life might be worth reflecting on and worth inspiration to even one.

Consider the spiritual gifts the Lord has given you. Please know that as you use them to God’s glory He will bless your gifts, you and others. You were not put on this earth by mistake. You were given life because God has a purpose for you in His plan.

Many people understand there is purpose for them, but get stuck in a rut trying to figure out which direction they are to go. Might I suggest taking a look around you? Consider your family and friends’ lives that you can touch. Pray for others; build yourself up in the Word so that you will be better equipped to carry out God’s will for your life.
