Photo Decor by Making Memories

Making Memories, a creator of many innovative scrapbook products, just released some wonderful and creative items this past week at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show in Las Vegas.

One of the most exciting categories Making Memories has added to their product line is titled Photo Décor. This includes projects that use traditional scrapbooking products in new, decorative ways. These are projects that would be fun to display in your home.

The first thing that caught my eye was a photo coaster project.

The kit contains 4 glass photo coasters, 4 patterned papers and 18 rub-ons, and retails for $14.99. This looks like a simple and fun project that would make a great gift for a grandparent or teacher.

Another fun kit is the Photo Cubes.

This kit includes three – 3 1/2″ cubes, 24 – 3 1/2″ patterned papers, 19 rub-ons, 1 yard of ribbon. The paper is precut to fit exactly on each side of the cubes, what a time saver! Just choose your pictures and you have a creative way to display a few favorite pictures on a shelf or table. The photo cubes retail for $10.99.

A project that brings traditional home decorating and scrapbooking together is the Photo Wreath.

In addition to including the berry wreath, the kit also has 1 yard of ribbon, 3 frame templates and 8 patterned papers. This gives such an interesting new twist on a regular wreath. This kit retails for $21.99.

Another innovative kit is the Monogram Shadow Box.

This retails for $19.99 and comes with 1 shadow box, 6 patterned papers, 26 monogram stencils and 3 metal charms. I’m thinking about purchasing this just so that I can have the monogram stencils for my use on a variety of projects!

I am very excited to purchase a couple of these kits and try out my regular scrapbooking supplies in new ways!
