Photography in the News June 23rd

Here are some interesting articles that I found this week regarding photography. The first is an excellent article on how to choose a digital camera that is right for you. The article points out that the type of camera you buy is not as important as what you plan on doing with the photos that you take. In other words, match your purpose for taking photos with the features of the camera. Better yet, just read the article.

The Fuji Finepix F30 has been reviewed in this article. It claims it is good in low light, with an ISO range from 100-3,200. Noise is extreme at 3200, but below that it is kept pretty much in check. The camera has a 3x optical zoom, a 6 megapixel CCD sensor, and a 2.5 inch LCD screen. Read more…

During the Ice Surprises Week, children in Dubai got a chance to play in snow. Well, it wasn’t real snow, but with the use of 3D photographs and ice games, they got to experience what it would be like to play in real snow.

David Vaskevitch, a senior executive for Microsoft, began showing his photography work this weekend. He started with photography when he was in his teens, and is now into digital photography.

While I was searching the news to bring you this post, I found a very short article about a guy who does deep wreck photography, and does it well. His name is Leigh Bishop. Just goes to show that there are endless possibilities out there for photography.
