Planning a Disney Wedding? Want a Disney Wedding Dress?

My husband and I were married at Disney World and I’ve discussed our destination wedding here in the marriage blog before. But beginning this spring, Disney is adding a new facet to their Disney wedding splendor that you can take advantage of whether you are planning a Disney wedding or a wedding at home.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Disney Consumer Products recently announced the launch of what they call the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Collection. This collection allows every little girl who dreamed of a fairy tale wedding the opportunity to wear bridal gowns inspired by the collection of Disney princesses from Ariel to Aurora to Cinderella and Snow White.

The bridal gowns will be designed by Kirstie Kelly, a designer well admired in the celebrity circles and according to Disney’s press release, she will be using luxurious fabrics along with meticulous craftsman ship and detail to create these special bridal gowns which brides to be will find in specialty boutiques throughout North America and Japan. The price of these specialized gowns is expected to be between $1,100 and $2, 900 U.S.

While those prices may seem high, many bridal gowns are found in this expected price range so it’s hardly beyond the realm of possibility. At the end of the year, the bridal collections will be expanded to include attendant and flower girl gowns as well.

Once Upon a Time

Despite the diversification of the Disney product lines, attractions and features – Disney is a name most associated with the modern concept of fairy tales and princesses. Most of us have a favorite princess or fairy tale that appeals to us and this new line of wedding dresses is just the thing to help fulfill a young woman’s dreams of her very own fairy tale wedding.

Which is your favorite Disney Princess? I’ve always been fond of Aurora and Belle, myself.
