Pre-and-Post Olympic Tours of China

If you don’t have tickets to the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in China’s Beijing then you might want to steer clear of the area until after the madness dies down (or go before the chaos begins).

The big event kicks off on August 8th and runs through August 24th. During that time the mighty metropolis will be pulling out all the stops to impress visitors. By taking a trip to the region immediately before or after the festivities you are guaranteed to save some cash.

Take a look:

Beijing Bargain

Right now Virgin Vacations is offering an incredible six-day package that starts at only $1,219 for travel between September 1 and October 26. The price covers roundtrip airfare from West Coast cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle; lodging for five nights; and daily breakfast. What’s more, it also features hotel accommodations at the ultra modern Beijing Hongrun Hotel located near Tiananmen Square. If you prefer to tour the Chinese city prior to the summer Olympic Games you’ll have to pay $200 more. Departures through July 25 cost $1,419.
