Resources for Organizing Your Home Office

In previous articles, tips were given for organizing your home office. Today, I’ll offer some resources for finding or making storage units to help you keep things organized, starting with some of the items mentioned in those other articles.

Business Card Organizers

You can pick up a mini photo album at any dollar store and place business cards between transparent sheets instead of filling the pages with pictures. You can also purchase small files for business cards, or you can pick up a business card organizer that is similar to a photo album but has pages specially designed and fitted for business cards.

Magazine Storage Boxes

You can purchase magazine storage boxes at any office supply store or order them online. They range from just a few dollars each to over $25.00 each depending on the style, materials, and name brand. The inexpensive ones work just as well, so choosing them will allow you to save some money if you need to pick up several. You can also make your own easily. Check out a similar project in Kid Crafts, just use heavier boxes and cover with contact paper, wallpaper, border, or great fabric.

File Boxes

You can pick up plain file boxes at office supply stores and supercenters. Most offer a small enclosure for tabs to label each box. You can choose different styles, sizes, or colors, or you can cover them with paper or fabric to make them coordinate better with your office space.

Great Desktop Organizers

Get those office supplies and other desktop items in order quickly and keep them handy with simple or stylish desktop organizers. From discount items to top of the line products, you can find whatever suits your needs.
