Did you watch the Grammy Awards on Sunday? For me, the Grammys are the closest thing I get to attending an actual concert. I haven’t been to a live rock concert since I was in college, nearly two decades ago. In fact, I haven’t been to any type of live music event in years–unless you count my first grader’s school Christmas concert.
If you are a die hard music fan, and you attend a lot of music events, then you might consider crafting a concert scrapbook. If you lack creativity and want to make scrapping as easy as possible, then your best bet is to purchase standard music theme scrapbook paper. These acid-free pages are typically 12 inches by 12 inches and feature:
*Silhouettes of musicians
*Guitars
*Microphones
*Drums
*Musical notes
*Sheet music
You can also make your own music theme scrapbook paper. Doing so gives you the freedom to create eye-popping, one-of-a-kind pages filled with your favorite memorabilia. If you can’t find the exact music scrapbook paper design that fits your layout, consider purchasing patterned paper to embellish with guitars, singers and microphone stickers.
Another option is to use standard scrapbook paper, and then add die-cuts, swatches of fabric, stamps and other memorabilia you have collect at each of your concerts, including ticket stubs and autographs.
If you are making a country music concert scrapbook, rahter than a pop music or rock and roll-themed book you could add your best concert photos, some bits of rope as a border, and cowboy boot stickers in a two-step or line dancing pattern. You might also consider adding some fringe, string ties or swatches from a bandana. If you want to really spice up your layout, then print out the lyrics to your favorite country music song and add them to solid color scrapbook paper. To make the page design even more conducive to your country music theme, simply add accessories, including buttons, stencils, stickers and glitter glue.
