Science on a Tracking Expedition

I am very excited to tell you about The Young Scientists Club. The Young Scientists Club is a monthly or bimonthly club that will send your child a complete science kit. This works like any other subscription and you can cancel at any time. The cost is $11.95 per kit plus $4.95 shipping (in the US). So far they have 36 kits to keep your budding scientists busy! You can get a list of the kits on the site. You can enter the clubhouse and get more links to printables, project ideas, and more on the topic of your kit. This makes a wonderful gift for any child who likes to keep their hands busy.

I can tell you that this is one club I will allow my children to join. I love the idea of having a quality educational science kit which my kids love delivered to my door each month. Each kit will have everything you need for quality science lessons that are fun!

I reviewed a product offered that is not part of the monthly subscription. The Young Scientists Club has other amazing products you can order priced from $9.99 to $34.99. The product I reviewed is called Science on a Tracking Expedition. I am not sure where to begin on this product. I could start with how impressed I was with the kit or the squeals of delight from my 5 and 10 year old when they saw it. I have very hands on children so this appealed to them.

The kit has everything you need to:

Match animal footprints

Make casts of eight animal tracks

Discover and collect actual animal tracks in nature

Analyze animal tracks

Create and paint animal-track casts

Create a tracking poster

Match animals to their tracks

Play an animal tracking game and learn about 40 animals and their tracks

The activities are broken down into five days and include complete instructions. The materials are made of high quality and the concept is one that certainly appeals to children while teaching important lessons. It also comes in a study box with a handle which is a very nice feature.
