There are so many people out there with scrapbooking blogs. Hundreds. I would venture to say there are thousands. The web is amazing. Many of these blogs are for sharing layouts, creating challenges, starting up a scrapbooking business, or a mix of scrapbooking and personal blogging. Whatever your scrapbook blog might be, you can add some personality to it by scrapping your own header for your blog.
I have used free templates for my blog that you can find all over the web, but I was never quite happy with how they looked. But, I didn’t want to have to pay to have someone design a blog for me. So, I decided I would scrap a cute header for my blog. That is just what I did. This is what I created:

There are endless possibilities with scrapping your own header for your blog. You can include the title of your blog, and even put some journaling on whatever you create to tell people what your blog is all about. To get started, first think about the template you are using. Make sure you coordinate the colors of the header layout that you are going to create with your blogger template.
Next, think about your style of scrapbooking. Create a blog that fits with your style. This is the first thing people will see when they visit your blog, so you need to make sure that it is a good representation of your style of scrapbooking, and also showcases your skills.
After you scrap your header, it is easy to take a digital photo and crop it to upload to your blog as your header. However, make sure that you leave room on all sides of the header so that it is easier to crop. You don’t want to end up cropping off a part of the header that you want people to see. If you have a way to scan your layout, this will work even better!
This is just another way that you can think outside the box, and use some scrapbooking skills to save you time and money!
