It seems like everywhere I look at scrapbook layouts these days, I am seeing flowers pop up everywhere. I thought that I would share some of my favorite flower embellishments with you so that you can add a little flower power to your layouts.
Flowers embellishments come in all forms: paper, stamps, acrylics, and stickers.
Prima Flowers has become well known for their flowers and I can see why. First of all, they come packaged in adorable glass bottles that look great decorating your scrapbook space. The flowers come in a variety of colors and shapes. They also sell leaves that look very realistic.
Heidi Swapp offers a few different types of flowers. My favorite is the flower ghost shapes. They are clear acrylic flower shapes that come in a variety of colors. It is fun to attach these you layout with ribbon, staples, brads, and stitching.
Heidi Swapp also sells large florals that come in a variety of colors and measure 4.5 inches across. I love the impact that such a large embellishment can make.
Making Memories offers large floral foam stamps. I like using paint on my foam stamps, but you could also use regular stamping ink. These make great background designs or could be used as an accent in just one area of a layout. You could stamp the image onto one piece of paper, cut around the flower and then attach it to your page.
Several companies sell a variety of flower brads and eyelets. Bazzill Basics and Making Memories are two companies that offer these is a wide variety of colors.
Making Memories sells paper blossoms in a variety of colors and two different sizes come in each package.
Jolee’s Boutique from EK Success sells a great variety of flower stickers. Not only do these make great accents on layouts, they work out well on cards and other paper crafts too.
I hope some of these products will give you inspiration for creating some great floral embellishments on your pages.
