Scrapbooking is simply not just for women or girls. Why is that such a misconception? I know so many men and boys who enjoy the hobby too. How can you not like having a hobby that deals with wonderful memories, clean crisp color photographs of people you love and care about, and the gift of words that can melt your loved ones hearts.
Several years ago I found a gentleman on a message board I used to frequent. I had looked at so much of his stuff and was terribly impressed. Not only did he enjoy photography and scrapbooking, but he was also interested in oil painting and interior design.
Do you want to know what was even stranger and more unique about this guy who has all these incredible interests? He was only 17 years old!! He was a senior in high-school! And he was as talented as any 50 year old who had been designing for 25 years or more!
Introducing Allen Allsman. Allen was only 17 years old in 2003 when he created most of the work you see here. He lives in Utah with his family and is a student, scrapbook teacher and designer. What more could a seventeen year old want?
This young man will go far in his life. He is an amazing addition to the scrapbook world, as well as the world of design. Not only is it beautiful to see the younger generation showcasing such incredible talent, but it speaks volumes in how secure he is in himself to be able to have the talent he has!
Not only has Allen been published in various different media formats, he has also been featured in Ivy Cottage Creations Creatable Cards & Tags 2 Idea Book. And his work is simply amazing!
