Shopping the Catalogs: Romantic Rings

I’m not a big jewelry wearer, but I’d like to be. (My problem is I’m not the most graceful person. I usually break or lose it. It’s amazing that, other than one bent prong, in the 12 plus years I’ve had my diamond ring I haven’t managed to destroy it yet.)

However, while I’ve been shopping the catalogs for gifts to give, I’ve also been admiring some things my alter ego (the one who knows how to wear jewelry without abusing it) would like. In particular, rings.

Below is a list of the ones that caught my eye and stole my breath.

From The Danbury Mint

Note: If you’re looking for a Christmas gift, either to give or receive (like if you need to drop a hint to your husbands, ladies), The Danbury Mint is running a special shipping deal where orders received by Noon EST on December 22 will arrive in time for Christmas at no extra cost.

Forever & Ever Diamond Ring: I liked that the word “Forever” is engraved in the inside. Appealed to the romantic in me.

Diamond Kiss Ring: Diamond-studded Xs (the symbol for kissese) are sure to inspire Ohs!

Sapphire and Diamond Wave Ring: Sapphires are my birthstone and I’m nuts about them. Pair them with the unique design of this ring and I swoon with wanting.

True Love Ring: I’d feel truly loved receiving such a unique ring. The dangling diamond padlock in the center seals the kiss (the diamond-filled X shape).

Love, Honor, Cherish Ring: I’m not as nuts about the style (too many colors of gold –yellow, white, and rose—for my tastes), but I loved the name.

Ruby and Diamond Kiss Ring: Not my birthstone but I like rubies too. They remind me of my grandmother, whose favorite gems were rubies.

Forever Yours Ring: Two entwined diamond hearts…so tender!

Open Your Heart Diamond Ring: My heart would melt if Wayne were to gift me with this ring.

From Catalog Favorites

I Made a Wish Ring: It’s made of sterling silver, not gold, and there’s no diamonds or other gems adorning it, but it is engraved with a wonderful message: the outside reads “I made a wish” and has a little star following it; the inside completes it with “and you came true.” Awwwww…

From Creative Irish Gifts

Women’s Half Karat Diamond Engagement Ring with Trinity Knot Accents: If I wasn’t married and was expecting a proposal, I’d be dropping hints like crazy about this ring, available in either 14 karat white or yellow gold.

Women’s 14 karat White Gold or Yellow Gold Three Stone Diamond Ring: I like the trinity knots surrounding the three diamonds. The three diamonds are set in white gold on both the white gold or yellow gold bands.

Diamond Trinity Knot Ring: It’s similar to the engagement ring I mentioned above, and could make an engagement ring too…or not. Elegant and Irish. Love it!
