When it comes to scrapbook layout titles, I like ‘em short and sweet. I don’t care for long, languishing titles that sprawl across two pages, snake around corners and trail down the sides of page designs.
But that’s just me.
I get a certain satisfaction from coming up with cute quips that double as bold titles. What’s more, when you have a short title you have more flexibility in your layout. For starters, you don’t have to worry about squeezing all of the words on a single page. Moreover, you save money by not having to use as many embellishments to spell out the title. In fact, one of the reasons I embrace tiny titles as much as I do is because once I was short a few stickers while designing a six-word title. Rather than run to the scrapbook supply shop to pick up additional “E” stickers, I simply reduced the title to three words.
