Spaghetti with Clams

Spaghetti with Clams
Serve with a green salad and crusty bread for a delicious meal!

INGREDIENTS:
4 lbs clams in shell
1 pinch fresh pepper
3/4 cup olive oil
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pinch salt
1 lb spaghetti
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup canned crushed tomatoes

DIRECTIONS:
1. Scrub clams well and rinse them. Set aside. Pour oil into large skillet. Add garlic and fry until golden.
2. Boil salted water or spaghetti and cook until “al dente”. Add sauce, parsley, salt and pepper to taste.
3. Add clams, then simmer for 15-30 minutes, until clams open.
4. Discard any that do not open in 30 minutes. Drain spaghetti and place in serving bowl. Toss with sauce.
5. Place clams on top and serve.

Cook: 40 minutes
