Spending Time With My Sister Part V

On the fourth day of our visit, we had early morning plans. I made breakfast while my sister nursed the baby and my son asked to hold the baby repeatedly. After a breakfast of an egg omelet and an orange, we got the kids ready for our early morning outing. First, stop of the morning was my sister’s chiropractic adjustment. The baby was also getting an adjustment. While, they were at their appointment, my son and I went to the convenient store across the street to buy more diapers for my son. We then returned to the chiropractor’s office just as my sister was coming out.

Our next stop was at a play cafe. My sister had set up a play date for my son with one of her friends and her daughter. The little play cafe was nice an open and had play stations along the perimeter of the space in the center of the room was a climbable mountain of large blocks that had a large steel pole at its apex that children could affix magnets. There were also mobile car like toys that the children could ride around the open floor plan. The play cafe was quite busy (busier than normal according to my sister). My son did not know what to think at first and so he stood for a while watching the other children before he joined in the fun. He found balloons to throw into the air and enjoyed doing that for several minutes until another little boy took them away. He soon found an indoor play system with a slide and spent a good amount of time climbing up the ramp and waiting his turn to go down the slide. His next adventure took him into a mini bouncy house. It took him a while to get his bearing but once he did, he had lots of fun. Meanwhile, my sister and I chatted with her friend while we all kept a watchful eye on our children. As it neared lunch time we were considering heading home but decided to purchase a couple of the healthful sandwich from the cafe (the also had coffee and all sorts of kid friendly snacks). We ate lunch and the kids continued to play for another hour. Finally we decided it was time to go. We headed back to the apartment. With such an early morning outing, I did not get my workout in so while my sister prepared dinner, I did my prenatal pilates. Then we relaxed for the rest of the evening!
