I am a scrapbook sticker fiend. In fact, if it weren’t for Jolee’s Boutique 3D stickers, I probably wouldn’t be an avid scrapper. I love the glitter, vellum, wire, beads, rhinestones, and small buttons that are part of Jolee’s designs. However, I also scrap on a budget, so I have to exercise a huge amount of restraint while I am shopping or my home would look like the inside of a Jolee’s sticker warehouse.
That’s the thing when you’re a scrapper; you get inspired by must-have embellishments and sock them away until it’s time to put together a particular layout. But, where does one store that many stickers for future use?
If you have dozens of sticker packages saved up for potential layouts you need to protect them from the elements, such as moisture, direct sunlight, dust and dirt. In addition, if you have curious young hands around, you want to keep your collection up and away, so kids are not tempted to use your expensive stickers to decorate the walls.
If you are working on a budget, then choose binder storage for your sticker collection. Simply place each sticker sheet in a plastic page protector and add the sheets to a 3-ring binder. If you can’t find a pretty binder, then make your own by decorating the outside of a plain one with stickers, sequins, and glitter glue, and then use leftover cardstock to make dividers to keep your stickers sorted by category.
Another frugal option is to use an accordion file labeled with different categories. All you need to do is place your stickers into the pockets of the accordion file and you’re all set. Just remember to keep the stickers in their original packaging until you are ready to use them. Also, if you have any leftover stickers place them in a small Ziploc bag and file them away with the rest of your collection.
