Thankful for Working at Home

This year I am thankful I work from my home. It is hard work and you must be accountable to self yet the rewards are worth it. We often talk about the darker side of home businesses or work at home jobs. It really is a reality check because not everyone is cut out to work from home. Some need more social interaction, steady pay, and the transition of office to home. Making the move to work from home is a sacrifice and far from laid back. Yet, there are many wonderful things I am thankful for this year.

I am thankful to have the ability to go to the office in my slippers.

I am thankful to get work done while caring for a sick child or a sick self.

I am thankful for the ability to grow as an individual and do what I love.

I am thankful to have the ability to stay home with my children and watch them grow and know where all those little annoying habits or slips of the tongue come from.

I am thankful to have met many other lovely writers and editors who motivate and inspire me to take my writing and blogging to the next level.

I am thankful to almost be making my goal monthly income for the first time in a very long time.

I am thankful for long lunch breaks and the flexibility to work during my night owl phases.

I am thankful for being on my own odd schedule.

I am thankful for being available to my children at any point because I am right here.

I am thankful to be able to take care of my home and my husband without the office getting in the way.

I am thankful for a husband who supports my efforts to work from home and gives me the space and time I need to get work done.

What are you thankful for as a home based professional?
