The Disney Blog Week in Review: April 29 – May 3

Can it seriously be the weekend? Apparently it is – because here we are going over the week before with a fine toothcomb. Is it me or are the weeks going by faster? For my daughter, there’s just 2 week and 4 days left until school lets out for the summer and she’s already planning what she’d like to do on her summer vacation (and if you think Disney is on the top of that list, you’d be right). In the meanwhile, let’s talk about what we covered this week in the Disney Blog:

Sunday, April 29

We talked about the Career Builder Dream Job contest last week and this week in Disney “Dream” Jobs we explore the jobs that these contest winners will enjoy performing as Disney Cast Members.

Monday, April 30

There’s a Pirate Frenzy Coming and whether you are going to be in Anaheim, Orlando or Hong Kong – Disney has pirates, pirates and more pirates for you to enjoy. Also premiering this month is Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End — coincidence, I think not.

Tuesday, May 1

It’s May Day and if you’re planning a trip to Disney World this August, you’ll have a chance to enjoy Pirates & Princess Party Returning This Summer and young pirates and princesses alike will enjoy the themed and costumed events they can attend at the Magic Kingdom after dark. What’s the best attraction at Disney World? Zagat Names Soarin’ Best Attraction.

Wednesday, May 2

Smokers beware, Disney Bans Smoking in Disney Hotels and this will be effective June 1st. The hotels will provide designated smoking areas but guests will no longer be able to reserve ‘smoking’ rooms nor will they be permitted to smoke on their patios or balconies.

Thursday, May 3

Disneyland Paris Turns 15 and what a great celebration for visitors to the Disney theme park that’s also celebrating a Year of a Million Dreams and more. Visitors to the Disney themed park near Paris will be able to enjoy this birthday celebration during their sojourns there.
