Working from home can be exhausting and overwhelming. You need to have your ducks in a row and maintain a balance between family and work. It can take a long time filled with rejection before you turn begin to operate in the black. Building a platform, advertising, and organizing your business takes time and hard work. Those who work from home combat the idea that life is a cakewalk. We plead with others to understand that we also work long hours and put in a full day, at least. While, that is all true, there is another side. The side that makes working at home a gift.
Working at home allows me to set my own dress code, hours, vacation schedule, goals, and office organization style. No one is there to tell me when to take lunch or how long to take lunch. I can sit on my couch in comfy clothes and get to work on my computer. If I wish, I can work on my porch, in my backyard, or at the park with the kids. I can work in the morning, afternoon, evening, or late at night. I can work while I listen to the radio or watch TV. I can eat fun snacks while I work. The freedom to find a routine that suites you is one of the reasons working at home is worth all the work. I love being able to explore my talents and interests by choosing how I divide my time and efforts. Setting my own long and short term goals is an advantage when your business is yours.
