The Future of Personal Fitness

While today is Earth Day and you should certainly be taking some time out to celebrate the Earth through personal activities, recycling, physical fitness or gardening; I wanted to give you a little heads up about what we have coming in the Month of May.

The April Spring Forward to Action 30 Day Challenge began on April 2 and will conclude on May 1. May Day is a very old holiday also called Beltane. It celebrates fertility and in some cultures, also marks the longer days leading up to the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year).

Coming up on May, the Fitness & Weight Loss blogs will combine in effort to bring you the Sizzling Summer Slim down based on the Abs Diet by David ZincZenko, Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Health magazine. The Sizzling Summer Slim down will be a six week program, following the recommendations, diet suggestions and exercise prescriptions of the Abs Diet.

I’ve been reading ZincZenko’s book and I’m revved by his suggestions, his exercise routines and the promises the Abs Diet offers of trimming the waistline and building a better, firmer you. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than honoring your body?

Keep an eye out here in the Fitness & Weight Loss blogs as we get set up for the Sizzling Summer Slim down. In the meanwhile, we’ll be finishing up our Spring Forward to Action Challenge.

Also coming in May and June – building a fitness program for your children for the summer. I’ll offer some suggestions, some tips and some ideas to keep your kids active, fit and healthy as we go into the summer months.

Have a great Saturday! Have a great Earth Day! We’ll see you tomorrow.
