The Marriage Blog Week in Review for April 9 – April 13, 2007

As I said earlier in the fitness blog week in review, I’m still a little flummoxed that we’re already at the weekend. This week flew by and here we are at the weekend, taking a swift glance back over our shoulder. We had some great articles this week and I hope you enjoyed them, but if you missed any, here is our marriage blog week in review:

Monday, April 9

In the News: Vetoed “Marriage” Bill in California Revisited takes a look at what’s happening in California – for real this time – this isn’t an April Fool’s Joke. In 2005, the California legislature passed a bill, which would legalize same sex marriage, but the Governor vetoed it. It looks like they are getting ready to pass the same bill again and the Governor will likely veto this one as well. On a more humorous note, in Nothing Says Love Like Taxes I reflected back on the early days of my relationship when my husband brought me his taxes at the 11th hour to take care of before he needed to get them into the mail.

Til Death Do Us Part .. That’s Easy and it is easy. It’s everything that comes in between that we need to work on and do better at. In Share a Secret with Your Spouse, Sherry describes how you can share a secret with your spouse and not only is it fun – it’s also a way to enhance your intimacy.

The Passive Aggressive Spouse can be a tough one to deal with because when you’re passive aggressive, you may not seem angry, but you are very good at being hard on your spouse. Do You or Your Spouse Lose Your Temper Easily? Try Role-Playing because it can help you and your spouse to tackle how you argue when you’re not angry with each other. If nothing else, role-playing can be a lot of fun!

Friday, April 13

Home Repair: Balancing Spouse Responsibility is it important whether it’s on a major financial issue or struggling with the paper work and talking to contractors and so much more. I honestly believe that spouses work better together than they do if they are apart on an issue – their strengths and their weaknesses balance each other out. Whether it’s a hard job or an easy one, by working together – you can achieve what it is you’re aiming for.
