The More Things Change; The More They Stay the Same

Good morning and Merry Christmas. I wanted to take a few minutes to talk to you about fitness and exercise, but without all the breast beating of why aren’t you getting more of it and what you need to do to get fit. Instead, I want to talk to you about the fact that while much of our world stays the same, the world of fitness is ever changing.

The World of Exercise

In the world of exercise, things change all the time. There are always new developments in classes, research, equipment, videos, gadgets, web sites and more. Just a year ago, the Fitness blog launched here at Families.com and added its own personal flavor to the world of fitness.

With so much changing substantially all the time, there is always something new to discover for yourself and for your fitness. I love this about the fitness world, it’s like receiving a gift every day of new opportunities and new choices. If one fitness program or exercise regimen doesn’t work for you, there’s always a new one to discover.

From circuit training to yoga to spinning classes to cardio kickboxing and boot camps – there are just more options than one-person can explore in a year. Fortunately, you don’t have to explore them all – you just have to dive into the classes that appeal to you, to dive into the fitness options available that interest you. With so many out there, there is literally something for every one.

So whether you want to run on the treadmill while watching a movie, a television program or the news or you’d prefer a class in step aerobics that gets your blood pumping to modern music and more. The point is – there is so much we can do and so many options we can explore that – you might get lost in the shuffle or overwhelmed by so many opportunities and that’s where we come in.

I’ll do my best to explore all the options, to present you with useful information and as always, to answer your questions and your requests. Merry Christmas and bright blessings to you and your kin.
