Three Common Errors Photographers Make

There are no real rules for a person who owns a camera, maybe “take lots of pictures”. Just because you own a camera, doesn’t mean you have to know much about it. However, if you are striving to be a better photographer, or you consider yourself beyond the point and shoot stage, there are a few things you need to realize can happen. It is entirely possible to avoid the most common problems, and being more aware of them can help your photographs be the best they can possibly be. Here are three common errors that photographers tend to make.

No Camera

Yes, it is actually done a lot. Forgetting the camera is easy to do from time to time, especially when in a rush or in a hurry. Carry a disposable camera in your purse or car so you always have one handy. If you know you will want your camera for an event, get it ready before hand when you are thinking bout it, and have it right by the door ready to go.

Shaky Camera

This is probably the most common problem for photographers. It does not take much movement to create a little camera shake, which will distort or cause the photograph to turn out blurry. Even the slightest windy day will mess with your ability to take a picture. Keep your camera as steady as possible or use a faster film. Since using a faster film is not an answer for a digital camera, keeping your hands steady is the only option. Keep elbows close to your side, and take a deep breath and hold it right before you press the button. Using a tripod will help a lot.

Blurry or Out of Focus

Typically this is because your subject is moving, and/or the photographer moved. Staying as still as you can, and changing your settings on your camera to match movement. Be sure to know your camera’s features and settings. This alone can save you plenty of hassle.
