Travel to Cherokee Landing in Tennessee

Located in Middleton, Tennessee is a great place with beautiful scenery called Cherokee Landing. With more than 296 power and water campsites, as well as cabin rentals, this is the ideal destination for families or couples wanting a romantic getaway. While there, you will fall in love with the rolling hills and relaxing valleys. Of course, the gorgeous lake where you can enjoy a paddleboat or canoe is a huge draw, along with the great fishing.

With a huge outdoor area to explore, hike, swim, fish, or boat, Cherokee Landing is a wonderful destination but the campsite is also loaded with amenities. For instance, you could drive 34 miles away to visit Shiloh National Military Park or take a trip to the Tennessee River just 43 miles down the road. Other things to experience within an hour’s drive include the Memphis Zoo, Pink Palace Museum, Pinson Indian Mounds, and the Pickwick Dam.

At Cherokee Landing, you can take the rugged route by camping without electricity or if you prefer, camp in style with electricity. This beautiful campground also offers a sanitary dumping station for people traveling with an RV, a marina and fuel station, clean drinking water, as well as restrooms and showers. While the entire area is simply stunning, the lake is once again a primary reason for going to Cherokee Landing. At the main area of the lake, it measures 33 miles long!

In today’s society, people move at super sonic speed. To escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Cherokee Landing offers the perfect peaceful surrounding. To the north of the site is the massive Clinch Mountain Range, a great place to explore. When going up the mountain, you can hike or walk up to the top of the lookout tower, providing you with one of the most breathtaking views in all of Tennessee.

The great thing about this area of Tennessee is that while some campgrounds close for several months out of the year, Cherokee Landing is open all year round. In addition, the campground has three distinct locations, which are all nestled around the magnificent lake. The campground is in a rural area, set apart from noise and pollution but if you want to see more of this wonderful state, then you can drive to family restaurants, shopping malls, and a number of attractions to include the famous Pigeon Forge.
