Tuition Waivers for College Studies

For people who are looking to continue their education toward a graduate degree or just starting their college course work after high school, did you know that every state offers some form of financial assistance?

By contacting the reemployment center, not associated with unemployment though may be in the same building in many states, they will tell you the steps to take in receiving a tuition waiver toward college or trade studies.

In New Jersey, the amount of money given per semester is $4,000. The tuition waiver is considered a grant and does not have to be paid back EVER! If you plan on attending a state school, the tuition waiver can be used to pay for college.

I discovered this when I wanted to continue my education for my graduate degree and did not have the funds to attend. I was in the right place at the right time and a man overheard my conversation. He was the head of the reemployment center and told me about a fund that New Jersey had set aside for educational assistance! He gave me the information and I had to attend a meeting and then sit with a counselor so they could get all my proper information.

Thinking this was not real, I just waited to see if I would receive a bill from my college during the first semester of grad school and it never happened! Then I told my sisters, friends, and other students who also were having trouble paying for school. By the end of graduation, my entire graduating class used the tuition waiver program.

Depending on your individual state, the amount of money or the process may differ but the money is there and it’s free for college students to use. I attended a state university and completed my Masters degree in two years! No loans, no repayment!

Any aged person is eligible for a tuition waiver and in a matter of minutes your semester is paid for! The student receives a waiver from the state which then has to be signed by the financial aid office, bursars, and registrar’s office at the college being attended. The student runs around the campus to get this accomplished but it is all worth it when graduation day comes and there are no loans to pay off.
