Use a Kit for Fast, Beautiful Layouts

Looking for a fast and easy way to create a scrapbook layout? You should give a scrapbook kit a try. Papers in a scrapbook kit usually come with a variety of patterned paper all printed in the same colors. This makes it easy to mix stripes, polka dots and floral prints since all of the colors match.

Most scrapbooking companies offer specific lines with paper, stickers, other embellishments, and ribbon that all look beautiful together.

Some of my favorite coordinated paper lines come from the following companies.

Basic Grey. They offer paper with a distressed, yet elegant look. They also have coordinating fibers and ribbon.

Chatterbox. They sell their paper in categories named after rooms in a house. The colors and mood reflected in the paper match the coordinating room.

Making Memories. This is one of my favorite scrapbooking companies because they offer such a wide variety of coordinating lines. One of my favorites is their kid’s line that includes paper with coordinating ribbon.

There are other companies that pull items together from a variety of companies and give it to you in a complete kit. Scrapbook Circle is one of these companies that does all of the hard work for you by putting together a new coordinating kit each month filled with cardstock, patterned paper, a mini album, and a wide variety of embellishments. The great thing about this type of kit is that several scrapbook companies’ items are all included in one kit. This is not something you could just pick up at the store. A friend, Crystal, and I started Scrapbook Circle, so I know how much fun it can be to create with kits.

With each of Scrapbook Circle’s monthly kit you can create at least 10 layouts, a few cards and complete the mini album or altered project that is included in your kit. Here is a sampling of the things I created with the upcoming June kit. You can see more if you check out the Scrapbook Circle Gallery.

Creating with a kit is such a time saver. I was able to complete everything shown here in just one night. The time spent matching cardstock with patterned paper with embellishments is saved when using a kit. Using kits means that you will be able to create more layouts in less time.
