Flowers have exploded around us, not just outside in the beautiful Spring weather, but also on our scrapbooking layouts, cards and other craft projects. Flowers seem to have no limits, in that they are also being used on masculine pages, which I also really enjoy seeing. Are you having trouble seeing how to use these wonderful items on your pages? Let me show you how.
First you need to choose the size of the paper flower that you would like for any particular layout. You will also need to decide whether you want to add a little more dimension by layering them either in the same color, or coordinating colors.
One you have decided on all of that, you need to then figure out where you want the placement on the page. You will also need to think about the flower center.
For this paper flower I added a sticker shaped in a circle that matched my project. However this exact same look could be achieved by punching a circle out of a coordinating cardstock or patterned paper or other material.
It is super simple to change the look of the finished project by changing the middle of the flower up a bit. You could leave the paper flowers as is, but most of them are designed for you to be creative with the center of the flower.
Showing you the different ways the same paper flowers look with different centers was a goal, so I added a bunch of different types of brads to show you. Get creative with your supplies. You don’t even have to use a brad, but you could use beads or glitter glued there, or any other unlimited amount of techniques. It depends on what you want your look to be.
Flowers will continue to grow in popularity as the scrapbooking trend takes us in different directions.
