Using Your Phone To Clean Your House

I am not technologically savvy, I can’t even work Netflix. If it wasn’t for my daughter I would never be able to watch a movie. Recently I needed a new phone, the old one was so scratched up that I couldn’t even read the screen anymore. Off we went to our cell carriers store and out I walked with a smart phone. The first week I had it I could barely figure out how to place a call, over the last month I’ve gotten better. I’ve been able to use the calendar to keep track of my schedule and that’s about it.

Today I found out when they say “There’s an app for that” they are not kidding. Today I found out that my smart phone can help me clean my house. The genius behind all those phone apps have come up with three to help you clean your house.

• Clean Freak Schedule- this app breaks down all chores into bite sized pieces and you do them one at a time, usually one a day. The chores rotate so everything gets done on a regular basis and you can add, remove and move around as needed. This app is 99 cents from Apple.
• Organizing your home- this is for android users. This app costs $1.19 and will help you rid your home of clutter, room by room.
• House Maintenance Schedule- this is a free android app. This is a calendar application. It has a month to month guide for maintenance items that need to be done in and around your house. This can save you costly repairs down the road by reminding you to flush the hot water heater and change the oil in the lawn mower. There is also a pro version for $ 1.99.

I downloaded the free House Maintenance Schedule app. As soon as I opened it up came the list of things I should do for August, some things I had planned, others I never thought about like checking the attic insulation. There are lists for every three months, every six months and annual items. You can set the dates to fit what you are already doing.

It’s pretty cool, I’m looking forward to setting the reminders, but I’ll be even happier when my smart phone can run the vacuum.
