Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is coming soon. What do you have planned for your spouse? It seems a little easier for the men, since cards, flowers, and candy are accepted Valentine’s gifts and there are plenty of each to choose from at this time of year. Finding great Valentine’s gifts for men is a little more challenging.

Few men really enjoy flowers, even though they will generally accept them with a polite smile and a peck on the cheek. Candy might work, if your guy has a sweet tooth, and of course, there are tons of cards with sentiments of love. Some are even funny or sexy.

Still, wouldn’t you like to give your husband a gift he would really enjoy? I mean, he can only wear so many pairs of satin boxers with bright red flames on them, and he will probably turn as red as those flames if you send balloons to his office.

This year, find a thoughtful way to show him how much he means to you. One idea is to give him a gift certificate for a massage. Most professionals offer half-hour or one-hour flat rates. If gift certificates are not available through a massage therapist near you, simply schedule the massage, pay for it in advance, and print your own certificate on the computer or make one by hand. If a professional massage is a little out of your price range for Valentine’s Day, make a coupon for a free massage from you.

This option is also a great gift for wives who might prefer a massage to chocolates or flowers. Get creative and come up with other surprises for your spouse, such as running her a bubble bath and keeping the kids busy while she relaxes.

Valentine’s Day is a fun way to celebrate our love for each other and it is also a great opportunity to show your spouse your creative side. You don’t have to go with typical Valentine’s gifts or outings. This year, spice things up!
