Valentine’s Day In Hollywood—-Celebrity Make Ups and Break Ups

Ah, young love. It can be so fickle… it hurts. (Take it from me, if you are trying to keep up with young love in Hollywood, prepare to suffer from severe whiplash.) To spare you from the neck pain I nurse on a regular basis trying to keep track of who’s “in love,” “just friends,” “taking a break,” or “not together, but still deeply care for each other,” I have compiled a list of celebrity couples who you won’t be seeing dining together this Valentine’s Day and others who despite rumors of the contrary will have someone to send a “Love Day” card to.

“They have parted ways to concentrate on their careers.” (Hmmm, where have we heard this one before?) This time the stock comment comes from Cisco Adler’s publicist.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Adler and girlfriend Mischa Barton have ended their relationship—-for now.

Barton and Adler’s infamous on-again-off-again relationship is well known around Tinseltown. The actress recently finished filming a new movie and Adler is currently taping a VH1 reality show with his band. A source close to Adler recently told PEOPLE: “I just spoke to him earlier this week. Give it a week. If past tells the future they will be back together.”

Personally, I hope not. I don’t what she saw in him anyway.

Moving on.

Don’t expect David Faustino and his wife to be sharing kisses over a candlelight dinner this Valentine’s Day. According to news reports, the 32-year-old star of “Married … With Children” just filed for divorce from his wife of three years, actress Andrea Elmer Faustino.

The couple (who are married without children) reportedly separated last May. You’ll recall they met at a spiritual center in L.A., and dated for five years before marrying in Las Vegas in 2004.

On the make up front. Don’t believe a report that rapper Eminem (whose real name is Marshall Mathers) is engaged to Kim Mathers for a third time.

Earlier this week Britain’s “Mirror” tabloid quoted a source close to the rapper as saying, Eminem can’t live with Kim and he can’t live without her. “But they are meant for each other. They are engaged again.”

A rep for Eminem denied the report, which puts to end speculation that the couple would wed for a third time. The pair first wed in 1999 and divorced two years later. They remarried in January 2006, and split less than three months later. They have an 11-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade.

Despite rumors of a break up late last year it seems model Petra Nemcova and singer-songwriter James Blunt will spend a romantic Valentine’s Day together. This week Nemcova (who survived the Asian tsunami of 2004, but lost her then boyfriend) told PEOPLE that she and Blunt are still “very much in love.”

At least for now.
