If you have been wanting to visit a museum near you, but it’s just not in your budget, you should take advantage of this deal by Smithsonian Magazine. On September 25, 2010, you can visit a participating museum near you for free! Just print out their coupon. This is their 6th Annual Museum Day.
Museums are fun to visit. They always have something interesting to see, are family friendly, and an excellent way to learn about something. Many of us have memories of visiting museums with our families when we were children. Or, you might have gone on a field trip to a museum while you were in school. Children’s museums can be really fun places to spend a day with your kids. The entire place is designed to interest small children, and you can find several hands on activities.
What are you doing on September 25, 2010? This is a great opportunity to visit a museum, for free! First, go to the Smithsonian Magazine website and click on the giant ticket that is in the center of the page. This will allow you to download and print out the ticket. You can only use one ticket per household. If you were planning on going to a museum with your spouse, then half of the admission cost is payed for with this free ticket. However, a family of four is not going to save nearly as much with this deal. But, it will still get one person into the museum for free, which is helpful. You must use an official ticket, (the one you find on the Smithsonian Magazine website), in order to take advantage of this deal.
Next, click on the blue button that is located towards the bottom of the page. This will allow you to start searching for a museum near you that will be participating in this deal. You can either click on the map around where you live, or you can use the drop down menu to select your state.
