Forget Black Friday. Walmart is bring you some day after Thanksgiving deals tomorrow with its secret in-store specials weeks early. Starting tomorrow at 8 a.m., you’ll be able to pick up some of the hottest holiday gifts at Black Friday prices.
Here are some of the deals that will be available.
Acer Laptop with 1 GB RAM: $348
Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player: $98.87
Fisher Price Nascar Ride-On Toy: $144.72
Sanyo 50 inch Plasma HDTV: $998
High Definition DVD movies: $14.96
The DVD movies include the following titles: 12 Monkeys, Big Lebowski and Blood Diamond.
All of these deals are while quantities last, so there will be no rain checks or new orders.
The Sanyo Plasma TV is an especially incredible deal, since the average 42 inch Plasma TV is in the $2,000 to $3,000 range. I may have to either restrain my husband with rope to prevent him from getting to the store or tell him his Christmas comes early this year.
Walmart plans on offering its secret in-store specials throughout the holiday season, generally announcing the specials only one day before the sale, probably on Thursdays. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you will be able to take advantage of any of these deals online. You must be in the store to make your purchase.
One nice aspect of these sales is that it spreads out the Black Friday craziness. At the very least, it will probably bring us back into Walmart again and again throughout the season, something I’m sure the store is hoping to encourage with its new secret in-store specials. It looks like the holiday season is officially here, no questions about it. Hmm, do you think they will take my Halloween pumpkins as a trade in for these deals? I didn’t either.
