Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

We finally know who won the $336.4 million Powerball jackpot… that I didn’t.

According to news reports, an 81-year-old woman from Newport, Rhode Island, is the winner, winner, chicken dinner of the sixth-largest U.S. prize in lottery history.

Again, not me.

Rather, Louise White is the newest multi-millionaire on the block.

She will reportedly take a lump sum payment of $210 million, the highest ever for Powerball, according to lottery officials. The jackpot is said to be the third largest in Powerball history and the largest ever won in Rhode Island. Prior to White’s win the top lottery jackpot in U.S. history was a $390 million Mega Millions prize won in March 2007.

At a news conference a few weeks ago White revealed that she kept her winning ticket tucked inside her Bible until she could cash in on her phenomenal luck. The mom, who currently, lives with her son and his wife, says she bought her ticket in Newport during a pit stop for rainbow sherbet.

White didn’t reveal what she plans to spend her winnings on, but goodness knows there is little she can’t afford now.

Heck, she could buy herself a sherbet factory and have hired help spoon feed her on a daily basis. And forget about digging into a nightly dinner of dry chicken and mashed potatoes. With $210 million in her bank account, White can dine on Wagyu beef morning, noon and night. The Japanese delicacy is considered the most expensive beef in the world. It comes from cows that are fed the best grass and given hourly massages. A couple of ounces sell for more than $100–uncooked.

White can also forget about dining on soggy Stop and Shop sandwiches now that she is rolling in dough. In fact, she could easily purchase the most expensive sandwich in the world: a triple-decker club from Essen aka von Essen Platinum Club Sandwich. The pimped out dish contains the finest chicken, ham, hard-boiled quails’ eggs and white truffles, and sells for around $200. At 1,182 calories, it may beget an expensive trip to the doctor if consumed too many times, but what’s an outrageous medical bill when you are a multi, multi-millionaire?
