There are many ways to earn online but I found that often it’s easier to purchase a “earn at home” business than to try and start one on your own. Half the fun of these First Name Meanings is selecting specific designer paper to print on. Kirkpatrick has joined up with All About Names which has hundreds of pre-designed papers to choose from. Selecting the paper to print the meaning of a name becomes much more personal this way. Choose from angels, soccer, bowling, and just about anything you can think of. These papers were designed with the Kirkpatrick software in mind. They even have paper meant for two names, such as a newly married couple or twins. Disney papers are also available for printing costing approximately $20 for 100 sheets.
The First Name Almanac doesn’t stop with just the first name meaning though. It also includes poems and clipart that can be added to your printed name certificate. The software will let you select from printing out a name certificate, cup size prints, keychains and more. I found that people love to receive these as gifts, especially for their children but I also discovered that word of mouth did not bring customers to my door. I gave out a few for free to see if I’d make any sales and I made none. I started out with inexpensive pre-designed paper bought at the local computer supply store. Definitely not as nice as the paper made especially for this software by All About Names. I found that the best way to sell these name certificates will be to sell them at a craft show or by obtaining your own kiosk or small selling station. You will need a way to connect your computer at the craft show and also have a printer with plenty of ink. Pricing certificates will be up to you, but when you calculate the cost, it’s sure to be less than $1 a sheet.
If you want to sell more than just name certificates, you can also sell frames, cups and keychains. This will be sure to boost your sales. Kirkpatrick does not just sell Name Software but has many easy to start business software programs. Another is the Birthday Chronicles. Type in the birthdate and see what happened on that specific date and year. Just be sure you are ready to take on all the added expenses of purchasing inventory, renting a popular sales space, and keeping accurate records.
