Would You Confess to Having An Affair?

One main component in a successful relationship between two people is honesty and trust. Without it, most people find that their relationship falls apart. Couples have to feel confident that they have their mate’s love and honor. They have to know that the relationship is strong and dependable.

Sadly not all relationships have trust. Once trust is broken, it can be very difficult to get back.

We all know that there are people out there that have affairs and that are unfaithful to their spouse. We hear about mates who get caught and couples who divorce and couples who work it out. We have also heard the tragic cases of the murders and suicides that have accompanied catching a spouse with another person. We see spouses at parties flirting with others and even leaving with others. Some of us even know couples that openly date other people.

However, what about the ones that never get caught? They are sure to be out there. Spouses that even today are cheating on their mate and no one knows. There are affairs that have happened and are that are now over and no one ever knew. There are affairs that go on for years and nothing at home ever seems to change or show signs of unhappiness or mistrust.

Should these people come clean? If you had an affair on your spouse and did not get caught, would you confess? While morally, you probably are thinking yes a confession is in order. Confessing is a big decision. There is a lot on the line. It can be a big chance to take either way.

In one of my future articles, I will address the pros and cons of confessing to an affair. Until then, I would love to know, would you confess to having an affair?
