Body Gospel: Faith and Fitness

Are you familiar with Power 90? Power 90, made by Beach Body, is a 90 day work out program designed get you in awesome shape in a short amount of time in the comfort of your own home. If you have no time to go to the gym or no desire, Beach Body provided a way to get into great shape that’s just between you and your DVD player. Quite some time ago, I owned Power 90. I loved the program and it truly did help me get into shape. At the time I was working out at a gym as well, but the 30 minute DVD program helped on days I could not get there or to get an added workout. Well, the years have passed, Power 90 DVDS lost in the midst of Disney and Baby Einstein movies, and I am in need for a convenient, flexible DVD workout program again.

Coming to my rescue is Beach Body again but with their new Body Gospel. Body Gospel is a 90 day work out DVD program that combines faith and fitness. If you are a fat Christian like me, and want to lose weight, then this is for you. I sure hope you see my humor in that statement. There are four DVDS that help keep you from getting bored or too used to the same old routine. The music is Christian based and very motivating. The concept is to combine your spiritual goals with your fitness goals to improve your heart, mind and soul.

I have done this routine for almost a week and can say that I enjoy it. I love the work out and find it challenging. The aspect of having different workouts on the first DVD and then three other DVDS with workouts, truly keeps me going. I hate being bored with a work out. Body Gospel does not get old and stale. I also love that a guide comes with the program to help you keep on track and mark off the days you worked out. This guide also specifically tells you which work outs to do on which days. A fun nutrition guide with meal plans is also included.

For the first time since my weight gain, I feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will keep you all updated on my success. Body Gospel will not be my only tool but it will serve and one the most important components in my weight loss journey. It will also help me maintain my desired weight since the workouts are short and easy to fit into the day…even for this busy mom of four kids!
