Week Thirty Eight

The countdown continues into week thirty eight. I am still keeping myself busy this week. Although not much seems to have changed, I feel like I am in a good place and ready for the baby to be born. This week I officially finished all the siblings and parents Christmas gifts and they are all wrapped ready to go under the tree on Christmas Eve night. Since we really do not know when the baby is going to be born, our plan is just to have the families over at some point on Christmas day to give them gifts. We … Continue reading

Week Thirty Seven

It never ceases to amaze me just how quickly the weeks seem to fly by towards the end of pregnancy. This has been a very busy week! My nesting instinct is in full force as I am finding myself wanting and needing to get everything done and organized before week thirty eight. From finishing Christmas gifts for extended family (parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents) to finishing nursery projects, to getting the house in order for the birth of our daughter, busy is what I have been! This week I spent several days making Christmas presents and putting gifts together … Continue reading

Week Thirty Six

The weeks are really flying by now. The count down is in high gear. Thirty six weeks, for whatever reason, seems to be quite the milestone. With one month of pregnancy left, I really have a lot to get done if a few short weeks! Day one of week thirty six was on Thanksgiving. While the festivities were wonderful, I started my week with a less the perfect diet and no exercise! Hopefully, everything balanced out in the end. I did get in five days of exercise for week thirty six; the pumpkin pie and bread was absolutely delicious! On … Continue reading

Week Thirty Five

My thirty fifth week of pregnancy turned out to be very busy. It seems that there is so much to do and so little time! Aside from my day to day and week to week tasks and errands, this week was spent trying to finish the “unfinished” projects. I am still in the midst of making the crib bumper. After running out of fabric for the ties, I made an extra effort to buy the additional fabric needed, wash, dry and iron the fabric, and then cut, sew, and iron the pieces into thirty two ties. I still need to … Continue reading

Week Thirty Four

It is kind of hard to believe that another week has come and gone. These last few weeks of pregnancy are going to fly by as well! During my thirty fourth week of pregnancy I found renewed focus and energy. I have undertaken a lot of projects lately and really feel like I have gotten a lot of things done this week. I have continued to shop and wrap Christmas gifts and I only have a few more items to buy and wrap for my husband and son. Our daughter is getting a stocking. I could wrap all the clothes … Continue reading

Week Thirty Three

With week thirty three came focus … finally. While not a lot has changed since week thirty two, I feel more centered. Most of my attention this week has gone to getting prepared for the holiday’s. I have also made steps to complete my crib bedding and I can finally visualize how I want to construct the bumper… I just need to find a day to invade my mother’s home to use her table and sewing machine as I do not have my own! My daily routine has become much easier this week. I have found a rhythm to the … Continue reading

Week Thirty Two

As my thirty second week of pregnancy began, I realized that my pregnancy will be over before I know it. While I seem to be growing larger by the day, I am still trying to enjoy this pregnancy to the fullest and not take a single day for granted. I have not quite reached that point in my pregnancy where the strain is nearly unbearable but the size of my belly and the loosening of my ligaments etc are taking a tole. At thirty two weeks I sought out the preventative help of a chiropractor. It seems that chiropractic adjustments … Continue reading

Week Thirty

Here I am in my thirtieth week of pregnancy, which presents itself as a huge milestone in my mind. Now the countdown to our daughter’s birth really begins. I began week thirty while visiting my sister, brother-in-law, and baby niece. Spending time with my sister is rare treat. Seeing her nearly five weeks postpartum and already fitting into her pre-pregnancy jeans is very motivational! She is just starting her postpartum exercise routine and I am continuing my prenatal exercise routine. We have been able to motivate and support each other in our fitness journey even though we are at different … Continue reading

Week Twenty Nine

The weeks are really starting to fly by now. With my twenty ninth week of pregnancy came a few changes some of which were expected while others were not. At the beginning of the week, I spent a lot of time preparing for the long drive to visit my sister, brother-in-law and four week old niece. My focused shifted from baby related projects to cleaning and packing. Seeing my new niece reminded me of the demands of an infant. I have gotten so use to my son’s independence and I am realizing that our daily routine will change significantly once … Continue reading

Week Twenty Eight

The weeks are starting to fly by now. At twenty eight weeks, I am officially in my third trimester! With twelve weeks to go, I am feeling anxious for the birth of our daughter while also feeling the need to “cling” to my pregnancy. I only have twelve more weeks to enjoy this pregnancy and I know that I will be holding my baby girl before I know it. My mind is in planning stage especially for the holidays. I have Thanksgiving and Christmas on my mind as I am trying to plan pie baking, Christmas shopping and gift making, … Continue reading
