This is the third day of your three-day transition from the Master Cleanse (also known as Beyonce’s Maple Syrup Diet or the Lemonade Diet). Your system has been totally cleansed and you are slowly easing your body into getting used to processing food again. You should be feeling pretty fantastic!

You should start day three with a light breakfast of orange juice.

For lunch, you can have more of day two’s vegetable soup. (Click here for the recipe and recommendations.)

For dinner on day three you can have any of the following:

Lightly steamed vegetables (Do NOT cook vegetables in butter or oil!)

A vegetable salad (A light, fat free dressing is acceptable here)

Fresh fruit or fruit salad (Be sure that if you must eat canned fruit that there is no added sugar or syrup, heavy or light.)

Meat, Coffee and milk or dairy products should be avoided on day three. Milk may cause complications in the stomach and colon.

Hopefully you’ve spent your time fasting productively by getting a plan together for a healthier lifestyle after the fast. This cleanse does you absolutely no good if you come off it only to dive into a bag of potato chips! Your fasting time is a great time to plan what and how you will eat and treat your body in the future.

Your energy level is likely very high right now. Take advantage of that and make daily exercise a part of your new routine.

Your system is clean. Take advantage of that and make all of your food choices healthy choices. Pay attention to the liquids you are adding to your system as well. Does soda, either diet soda or regular, really do anything for your health? If you need the bubbles, try tonic water with fresh lemon or lime squeezed into it. You’ve just spent so much time, energy and willpower to cleanse your system. Remember all the effort you put into it whenever you make a beverage or food choice.
