Disney Playmation Gets Kids Moving

Disney Playmation Gets Kids Moving Find more parenting blogs at Families.comOne common complaint that parents have about video games is that requires the player to sit down, indoors, for the entire time they are playing the game. That can be frustrating for parents who wish their kids would get some exercise. Disney Playmation can provide a solution. It is a video game that gets kids moving!

Playmation combines the best elements of video games and imaginative play. To use it, a kid must have a special high-tech toy that has motion-sensor technology, Bluetooth, and cloud connectivity. The wearable device is key, and can be enhanced with the use of a smart action figure that has been designed to work with the system.

The first product in the Playmation brand is one based on Marvel’s Avengers. It is a pack of five toys that are built around Iron Man. The pack costs $120. Kids can pretend to be helping the Avengers to complete missions and save the world.

The game is accessed via a smartphone or tablet app. Kids use it to learn their “mission”. After that, the child must step away from the screen to carry out that mission. They need to put on the wearable toy that fits over the child’s arm. They can use that toy to shoot enemies or block shots in a way that is similar to Iron Man’s “Repulser Gear”.

A plastic disk gives kids instructions about where to run and jump in order to complete their mission. They might also be told to run and duck in order to avoid being in the line of fire. Kids that loved the Avenger movies will have a lot of fun with this series of Disney Playmation. There are plans to release Hulk Hands later on.

There is another option if your child isn’t an Avengers fan. Wii U is a video game system that was created by Nintendo. The Wii U, and the Wii, have games that require kids to move in order to play. They will have to play these games indoors, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t get some exercise.

Use a Wii Remote Plus (which is compatible with either system). It has the increased sensitivity of the Wii MotionPlus built into it. Instead of pushing buttons, kids use use their hand and arm to move this unique controller around. It senses the player’s actions and moves the player’s character accordingly.

Nintendo also makes the Wii Fit U. It comes with a balance board instead of a typical game controller. People can use it to play video games that require whole body movement. There are 70 total activities to choose from, including a Dance mode.
