Evenflo Symphony 65

The first child safety seats we got were a Graco Safeseat and a Britax Marathon. We added another Marathon when Jessie joined our family and we had two toddlers. Jessie graduated to the Britax Frontier when she was over three and almost at the weight limit of the Marathon.

Emily can stay in the Chicco Keyfit to 30 pounds. The Keyfit is so easy to install that I was happy to leave her in it and not remove the heavy seat and baby from the base. Emily was tired of being at that recline so she barfed all over herself and her seat. While I laundered the cover and sponged the seat, I installed Jessie’s Marathon for Emily.

I don’t know what happened, but I hate that seat. I don’t remember hating it before but I hate it now. I waited patiently for Babies R Us to have a trade-in event so I could get a new seat. We had three convertibles and an infant carrier already, so it’s really silly to want another seat, but I wanted a new seat for Emily. I went to BRU with the Cosco Scenera to trade planning to buy a Graco MyRide 65. The MyRide has a high rear-facing weight limit and cup holders and has been on my want list for a while. I had a change of heart, though, when I found the cover wasn’t machine washable. My next choice was the Safety 1st Complete Air 65. It too has a non-washable cover.

I ended up with an Evenflo Symphony 65. The cover is washable and it has QuickConnector LATCH. The harness straps do not have to be rethreaded to adjust. I think I really like this seat. It’s different from the Britaxes I’m used to, but Emily seems to be happy with it.
