Farewell

About a month or so ago, I penned a blog regarding priorities. I noted that Miriam’s recent article on the same subject caused me to rethink how I was distributing my time in relation to my activities, both religious and otherwise. As I continued to think on the subject, I ended up deciding that I would have to hang up my blogging pen to focus more on other parts of my life.

If you don’t know, my family is living a rather unorthodox existence right now. With four children ranging from a six year old down to a newborn, we are living in a 36’ motorhome (don’t worry, this is a short-term plan). This means I have very little “alone” time to get any writing done. I also homeschool my kids, which keeps me on my toes. The final straw, however, came when I was called as Seminary teacher. I had to decide that the hour or two I have at night needs to be spent on my new calling, rather than on writing. (Plus a little downtime for Mommy!)

I have really enjoyed the nine months I have spent as an LDS blogger. If nothing else, the constant search for subjects has helped me to integrate the gospel more fully in my day-to-day life. I hope to one day return, as I truly love to write. I anticipate purchasing a house within the next year, and may try to return to the site if there are any openings. Either way, you can rest assured I will continue to write.

I just want to say thanks to Miriam, who has been a great co-blogger. I know that she and Tristi will do a wonderful job of keeping you guys informed and entertained. Thanks also to all of my fantastic readers, who have been so supportive. You are all part of what has made this position so enjoyable!
