How to Take Advantage of After Easter Bargains

As soon as Easter Sunday rolls around, you’ll find all sorts of Easter-related products that are on deep discounts. Snap up the following items when they hit 75 percent off and use them in some creative ways. You’ll save money and get points for resourcefulness.

Easter Baskets

Baskets can be used for all sorts of things around the home, from gathering clothespins to holding houseplants. Some of my favorite ways to use easter baskets include corralling baby board books, holding diapers, as gift baskets for birthdays and baby showers, for desk supplies and even as stair catch-alls (for items that need to go upstairs).

Candy, Candy, Candy

You can freeze chocolate candy as use it throughout the year. My favorite uses for leftover candy are to decorate birthday cakes, to use for ice cream toppings, to chop and use in cookies and to melt them for use as chocolate dips for pretzels or fruit.

Easter Toys

Scoop up the easter toys to use them as gifts and favors. yes, I am always thinking about the next birthday party. Small stuffed animals and toys can be included in birthday party goody bags or as prizes at the party. You can also save them for baby gifts (provided they are safe), adding them to those Easter baskets or stocking stuffers. We are thinking about having a carnival theme birthday party this year, and these little toys would be perfect.

Costumes

Occasionally I find Easter costumes and costume pieces on discount. Chicken costumes, bunny costumes, funny bunny glasses and bunny ears are all available. USe the more complete items for this year’s Halloween costume, or make up a dress up box for all-year fun. Costumes and dress up items are fun at parties or play dates, and the photos you will get out of them will be a bonus to this bargain.
