Jingle Bell Run/Walk 2009

On December 5, 2009, the Arthritis Foundation is having its yearly festivities with their Jingle Bell Run/Walk. This run/walk will raise money for, of course, those stricken with arthritis.

If you have arthritis or know someone with arthritis you know that they are in severe pain at times and suffer not only from pain, but also from generalized stiffness and achiness. Help them out and raise money so that more research can be done to alleviate this pain and stiffness that they must suffer with.

You can participate in this event by finding a Jingle Bell Run/Walk event in your area. Once you find the event closest to your home you can sign up online and begin creating a web site for yourself to encourage others to sponsor you. There is a registration fee, but if you raise $35 this fee is waived and you will get a Jingle Bell Run/Walk tee shirt to boot!

This 5K run/walk will not only help others, but it will help you as well. Running and walking are excellent ways to stay in shape. Just exactly how far is 5K? Technically speaking, 5K is approximately 3.10685 miles.

Get on your holiday gear and come run or walk with others who are also raising money for this charitable cause. You can dress in red and green, wear your favorite Santa hat or tie jingle bells to your sneakers. You can run, walk or do both! The choice is yours. Run/walk individually or form your own team and run/walk with your group. Come and join this worthy cause. Three miles is not too far. You can do it. Come and join the walk/run on December 5th and hit the sidewalks for your chance to do something good for someone else. For more information visit http://www.arthritis.org/jingle-bell-run.php.
