Late Summer Travel Bargains

left

Sometimes it pays to procrastinate.

If you waited until the end of the summer to escape on a seasonal getaway, you’re in luck. Turns out the travel industry held out on some super savings for those willing to vacation in late August and early September. Among the best deals are:

Colorado: Whether you are heading to Denver over the Labor Day weekend to gorge yourself during A Taste of Colorado or you are simply looking to explore the state’s amazing natural wonders, several hotels are offering outstanding late summer deals. For example, rates at the Denver Marriott City Center are as low as $149 per night on select dates during the month of September. In addition, from now through the end of September the Hampton Inn and Suites Denver Downtown is offering guests 15 percent off their total bill. Meanwhile, all suites at the Magnolia Hotel Denver are being reduced by $30 through the end of September.

Missouri: Music lovers can celebrate with a special vacation deal offered by the Branson Tourism Center. The 2012 Labor Day Getaway Package features three nights’ accommodations at select hotels in the city, plus, theater and attraction tickets, and a dining certificate, starting at $359 for two people. The best part is that you can customize your travel package by choosing from one of five local hotels. In addition, you also get to pick your dining and entertainment choices from a list of participating companies.

North Carolina: Who says a trip to Asheville can’t be affordable? During the month of September you can score several incredible deals to explore the legendary Biltmore Estate, visit downtown shops and restaurants, or hike the area’s spectacular nature trails. If you love the great outdoors, you might consider heading to Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds. The popular property is offering seasonal specials throughout September, including a deal where you can get your third night free if you stay two nights in a cabin. In addition, through the end of September, you’ll also receive 20 percent off guided electric bike tours in Asheville with a Willow Winds’ cabin rental.
