Listen to a Homeschooling Podcast

iPod Do you listen to podcasts? Believe it or not, there are podcasts about homeschooling. Podcasts that are focused on a specific topic are an excellent resource to learn from. You can hear other people’s experiences with homeschooling, discover where they find curriculum, and even hear their opinions about homeschooling issues that are in the news.

Here is a quick list of homeschooling podcasts to check out.

Homeschool.com has put together their best audio and grouped them into categories that are easy to sort through. Everything was originally recorded live as part of Homeschool.com’s Summer and Winter Homeschooling Teleconferences. There is a wealth of information to be found here!

The Wired Homeschool is a weekly podcast that covers topics such as online security, social media, online resources, and more. It describes a “wired homeschool” as “any homeschool that seeks to leverage technology to improve upon their homeschooling experience”. It is hosted by John, a homeschool dad who describes himself as a geek, a husband, a father, and a person who loves Jesus.

Homeschool Netcast Network is a podcast that does both an audio and a video form of podcast. It also has a detailed and interesting blog to read in between episodes of the podcast.

The Homeschool Netcast Network was created by Gerald McKoy, who describes himself as a Christian, a husband, a father of five boys, a homeschool evangelist, a software developer, and more. This podcast was designed to support the existing homeschool community, and to encourage more Christian parents to homeschool their children.

The Homeschool Show podcast was started to equip, educate, and empower homeschooling families to raise up the next generation in Christ. It is hosted by Greg Munger, who is a homeschooling father with a B.S in Education from the School of Education at Bob Jones University. His wife Bonnie has a B.S in Home Economics from the same university. Together, they tackle topics that concern homeschooling families.

LDS Liberty is a website that is dedicated to advancing the cause of liberty in light of the restored gospel. The podcast covers topics that range from politics to book reviews, but they also have several episodes that are specifically focused on issues that relate to homeschooling. It appears that this podcast is geared for homeschooling families who are of the Mormon faith.

These are just a few of the homeschooling podcasts that are out there, ready for you to listen to. You can also find random episodes of podcasts that don’t usually focus on homeschooling, but that have devoted an episode or two to topics that do relate to homeschooling.
