Making the Decision to Homeschool

Toy ABC blocks.

The most popular decision to homeschool is faith followed by dissatisfaction with the school system.  However, some chose to homeschool for other reasons.  The choice to homeschool is personal.  Yet, it is still the unusual choice so we wonder, why homeschool?

Here are what some had to say about their decision to homeschool:

My husband and I were both homeschooled. There was never any other option for our children in our minds. Home is best. ~Amy

I never considered it until my sister-in-law married a man who was homeschooled, and they planned to homeschool their own children. After that I started researching and praying about it. Finally, as my oldest child was ready for kindergarten, I was convinced that God had called me to homeschool my children. It’s one of the best choices I’ve ever made. ~Jessica

I saw a family homeschooling while I was in high school. They were so good together. It was really neat to see how they loved each other. I wanted my family to be like that. ~Tanya

I was one who thought she would never homeschool.  I never knew a homeschooler until I was an adult and even then it was only one person.  Then one day, the Lord impressed it upon my heart.  I was in shock and tried to push it aside but in the end I had to submit and I am thrilled that I did.
