Meet a Families.com Blogger – Beth McHugh!

Today we are joined by awesome blogger Beth McHugh. Beth, thanks for being here with us today! How long have you blogged for Families.com?

Since the beginning…..December 2005.

What topics do you blog about?

I blog on Mental Health.

I could use some mental health right about now. What is your favorite thing about blogging for Families.com?

I like to bring what is largely a taboo subject out of the closet where it can be discussed in a friendly and comfortable environment. Mental illness affects most people, either directly or indirectly, yet it still remains something that many people do not like to talk about. The latter causes even more distress to sufferers and their families. So, Families provide a wonderful forum for people to read about various disorders and find direction for how to cope with their difficulties.

What do you like to do when you’re not blogging?

I love portrait painting, playing the cello and doing family tree research. Gardening and painting are my two great passions. Oh, and talking!

Is there anything in particular you would like our readers to know about you?

I am always thrilled to hear that a reader has been comforted by reading one of my blogs, and derive great pleasure when my clients make important breakthroughs in their recovery and move towards a happier and healthier future.

Well, then, you’ll be happy to hear that I’m no longer contemplating throwing my computer out the window and that I’m feeling much better now!

Thanks for taking time to chat with me, Beth.
